Georgia has reported 2,859 new cases of the coronavirus and 2,754 recoveries over the last 24 hours.
Head of the Task Force operating under the Interagency Coordination Council Aleksandre Khojevanishvili announced at a briefing today that the number of total confirmed cases of COVID-19 has increased to 54,852, while the number of total recoveries has reached 39,773.
Khojevanishvili also noted that 18 people have died, increasing the number of coronavirus-related death to 441.

Meanwhile, a total of 14,612 people remain infected in various parts of Georgia, while 34,439 people are in self-isolation.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Economy Minister Natia Turnava and head of government administration Natia Mezvrishvili, who have tested positive for coronavirus, have also gone into self-isolation.
