Georgian Economy Minister goes into self-isolation

Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava has gone into self-isolation, announces the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

Natia Turnava, the minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, moved into self-isolation due to close contact with an infected person. At this stage, she does not have any symptoms typical of Covid-19 and is feeling well", reads the statement.

Yesterday Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia wrote on his Facebook that he had gone into self-isolation after one of his security officers tested positive for coronavirus. He said he will continue to work remotely.

Georgia has reported 1,852 new cases of coronavirus.

In total, seven people have died from coronavirus in Georgia in the past 24 hours and 1,696 people have recovered.
