Coronavirus update: 1,852 new cases, 1,696 recoveries, 7 deaths

Georgia has reported 1,852 new cases of coronavirus, of which 650 were registered in the capital city of Tbilisi, 389 in the Black Sea region of Adjara and 441 in the Imereti region.

In total, seven people died from coronavirus in Georgia in the past 24 hours, six in the Adjara region, one in Kakheti.

Georgia has reported that 1,696 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.

Georgia has had 42,579 cases of coronavirus since February 26.

  • Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 114 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 68
  • Shida Kartli - 51 cases 
  • Mtskheta - Mtianeti - 51 cases 
  • Guria - 28 cases 
  • Samtskhe -Javakheti – 27
  • Kakheti - 20 cases 
  • Racha - Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 13 cases 

How many people are currently being treated for coronavirus? 

As of today, 15,411 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia, of which:

  • 8,882 individuals are being treated at home 
  • 4,293 individuals are undergoing treatment in hospitals
  • 2,236 individuals are in Covid-hotels

2,977 individuals are in quarantine, while 29,876 individuals are in self-isolation in Georgia.
