Georgia reports 569 new cases of coronavirus, 329 recoveries, 9 deaths

Georgia has reported 569 new cases of coronavirus, 329 recoveries and nine deaths in the past 24 hours.
The majority of the cases were reported in the coastal Adjara region of Georgia and in the capital Tbilisi.

The new 569 cases were recorded in:
- Adjara region - 207 cases
- Tbilisi - 168 cases
- Imereti - 117 cases
- Guria -8 cases
- Mtskheta - Mtianeti - 5 cases
- Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 24 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 7 cases
- Shida Kartli - 25 cases
- Kakheti - 5 cases
Georgia has had 12,841 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
Since then 6,867 patients have recovered, while 102 others have died.

As of today 5,872 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
More than 50 of the 5,872 patients are in critical condition.
About 100,000 Georgian citizens have lost their jobs during the pandemic, the Georgian Finance Ministry says.
Most of the kindergartens have reopened in the country yesterday which have been closed since March 2020.
Georgia will receive between 600 - 700,000 COVID-19 vaccines as soon as an effective one becomes available.
The majority of the cases were recorded in the country’s coastal Adjara region and in the capital Tbilisi. 179 of 183 kindergartens in Tbilisi which have been closed due to the coronavirus since March 2020 have reopened earlier today. The personnel in the remaining four kindergartens or their relatives have tested positive for the coronavirus that is why the kindergartens remain closed. Georgia has had 12,272 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020. Since then 6,538 patients have recovered, while 91 others have died. As of today 5,643 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
Once a vaccine for the coronavirus is approved, it will be available to the Georgian population, at first primarily to risk groups, said Head of the National Disease Control Centre Amiran Gamkrelidze earlier today.
Despite the micro-epidemic in the Georgian Black Sea resort city of Batumi, where 22 new cases of coronavirus have been reported during the last 24 hours, the city will not be put under lockdown.
The Georgian Ministry of Health held a meeting earlier today to review the current epidemiological situation in the country.
Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze says that coronavirus is expected to claim the lives of an additional one million people worldwide before spring.
Georgia has reported 919 new cases of coronavirus and four deaths earlier today, which is the highest figure since the country confirmed its first case of the virus on February 26, 2020.Tbilisi is on the top of the list with 366 new infections, followed by the country’s coastal Adjara region with 286 cases.13 kindergartens and several schools have been closed again in the capital Tbilisi due to coronavirus.
