Tents to be set up at different locations in Tbilisi to offer voluntary COVID-19 testing

Tents will be set up in Tbilisi at different locations where citizens will be able to undergo voluntary coronavirus testing, the National Disease Control Centre (NCDC) announced earlier today.

The exact locations of the tents will be made known in the coming days, NCDC says.

Tents for free coronavirus testing were set up in Georgia’s Black Sea cities of Batumi and Kobuleti in the end of August, as most of the new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the mentioned cities by that time.

Georgia has reported 193 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today and announced the death of a 20th patient.

The 60-year-old woman who has died of the virus suffered from underlying diseases. She was earlier transported from Georgia’s Russia-occupied Abkhazia region in critical condition.

As of today, 2,142 individuals are infected with COVID-19 in the country.
