The Georgian Football Federation has marked the completion of the construction of a brand-new football stadium in Georgia's Black Sea city of Batumi with a video edit of drone footage of the arena.
Primary construction work on the stadium - a Category 4 venue in the Union of European Football Associations standards - came to a close last week, with Tornike Rijvadze, the Chairperson of the Government of Autonomous Republic of Adjara, celebrating the occasion by scoring a goal on its pitch.
The GFF released its video just ahead of the official's visit to the venue, with their footage showing the stadium on the backdrop of sunset in the coastal city.
Built in a 117 million GEL ($38.4 mln/€34.2 mln) project, the stadium has capacity for 20,000 fans, a "membrane roof" and LED lighting on its outside carcass, used for lighting the construction up in various colours.
Work on setting up fire and security systems, external amenities and interior facilities is still ongoing for the arena, with professionals also overseeing the growth of grass in adherence to standards required for football matches.
In addition to the football pitch, the construction company involved in the work is also building a 3,400 capacity "universal sports complex" in Batumi.
