Five more individuals have tested positive for the coronavirus in Georgia since this morning, increasing the number of total confirmed cases to 827.
Head of Georgia’s National Disease Control Centre Amiran Gamkrelidze said the sources of infection in the five new cases are unknown so far.
Calling on the society to follow all of the recommendations of the health ministry, Gamkrelidze said it is no time to relax now.
He again called on people to maintain social distancing, use face masks indoors and in public transport, observe the rules of personal and public hygiene, work remotely and avoid public gatherings.
Gamkrelidze added that although the state-imposed restrictions are being gradually lifted, the country has not yet defeated the coronavirus pandemic.
