Demna Gvasalia unveils jackets with Georgian poetry for Vetements’ collection

Georgian fashion designer Demna Gvasalia has unveiled his new collection for Vetements, which is inspired by Georgian poetry.

In his post yesterday on Instagram, the designer shared photos from his new collection, which also included denim jackets with the names of famous Georgian poets.

Shota Rustaveli (Georgian: შოთა რუსთაველი)mononymously known simply as Rustaveli, was a medieval Georgian poet. He is considered to be the preeminent poet of the Georgian Golden Age and one of the greatest contributors to Georgian literature. Rustaveli is the author of The Knight in the Panther's Skin, which is considered to be a Georgian national epic poem. Vazha-Pshavela (Georgian: ვაჟა-ფშაველა), simply referred to as Vazha (Georgian: ვაჟა) is the pen name of the Georgian poet and writer Luka Razikashvili (Georgian: ლუკა რაზიკაშვილი), noted Georgian patriot and author of the highest calibre in the field of Georgian literature Galaktion Tabidze (გალაკტიონ ტაბიძე) was a leading Georgian poet of the twentieth century whose writings profoundly influenced all subsequent generations of Georgian poets. ????
