The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, a principle annual fashion event hosted by Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi, showcased the ‘Dze-Georgian Project’.
The project aims to promote the idea of philanthropy through fashion and urge the society to focus on social problems that remain beyond attention.
We see people wearing the expensive clothes of modern designers in various commercials, music videos, catalogues and fashion magazines”, the project description reads.
Meanwhile, there are other people wearing similar, sometimes identical clothes, but nobody talks about them”, it further notes.
‘Dze-Georgian Project’ is a result of partnership between the Charity Organization American Friends of Georgia, Creative Agency ‘Windfor’s’ and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
The authors of the project say ‘Dze-Georgian Project’ is “a façade for the name – Dzegvi shelter, housing 80 people. Founded in 1995, the Dzegvi shelter is located 30km northwest of Tbilisi.
The models of the campaign are the inhabitants of the shelter, wearing their own casual clothes.
The conceptual video with the youth from Dzegvi Shelter was created as a 'Fashion video' presenting the Dze-project.
