A new phase of the development of Goderdzi ski resort has started, announces the Finance Ministry of Adjara.
Goderdzi ski resort is located at an altitude of 2,000 metres. It is 252 km away from Tbilisi and 109 km away from Batumi. Ski resort is located in the highlands of Adjara on the Goderdzi Pass.
As of today, 19 investment projects worth 150 million GEL ($51.57 mln/€46.57 mln) are currently being implemented at Goderdzi ski resort, announces Adjara Finance Ministry.

The construction of a new 1,320 metre road is underway at the resort. The new highway will support new investment projects at the resort.
As part of the project, high class hotels, cottages, cafes, restaurants, sports-fitness centres, conference halls, and piazza ‘Goderdzi’ are being built in the resort area.
As a result of the project, 1000 new jobs will be created at the Goderdzi ski resort, says the ministry.
The 2018-2019 winter season, which lasted 128 days, is over in Georgia and the country’s most popular winter resorts hosted an increased number of tourists.
Georgia’s mountain resorts are becoming popular tourist spots, hosting 514,874 visitors during the winter season in 2017-2018, which is a 25 percent year-on-year (y/y) increase. The number of tourists in Georgia’s mountain resorts of Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi and Svaneti has increased by 491 percent since 2012.
