Georgia’s five airports – three international (Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi) and two local (Mestia and Ambrolauri) – served 571,848 passengers in July 2019, which is a 7.3 per cent decrease in comparison to last year, says United Airports of Georgia.
The 7.3 per cent decline in passenger traffic was caused by the suspension of direct flights to Russia starting July 8, 2019”, says the United Airports of Georgia.

In January-July 2019, the growth rate of passenger traffic decreased from 18 to 12 per cent. In this period, Georgian airports served 3,058,473 passengers, which is 12 per cent more compared to 2018.
