Georgia’s three international airports served 1,912,352 passengers in January-May 2019, which is a 19% increase in comparison to last year, says the United Airports of Georgia.
The number of passengers who took regular or charter flights in Georgia increased in all three main airports of the country: Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport, Batumi Aleksandre Kartveli International Airport and Kutaisi David Aghmashenebeli International Airport.

Georgia’s rural airports also saw an increase in passenger numbers in the first five months of 2019.
Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia, Svaneti region, served 2,340 passengers in January-May, which was a 28% increase y/y.
Meanwhile, Ambrolauri airport in Georgia’s Racha region, which received passengers for the first time in 2017, served 368 passengers (+19%) in the reporting period.
