Passenger traffic up 4% in January-October at Georgian airports

Georgian airports served 4,555,673 passengers in January-October 2019, which is 4 per cent more compared to the same period of last year, United Airports of Georgia announces.  

In October 2019 Georgian airports served:

  • Tbilisi International Airport - 284,442 passengers (15 per cent decrease)
  • Kutaisi International Airport - 89,232 passengers (44 per cent increase)
  • Batumi International Airport - 47,536 passengers (13 per cent increase)
  • Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia, Svaneti region – 852 passengers (5 per cent increase)
  • Ambrolauri Airport in Georgia’s Racha region – 222 passengers (40 per cent increase)

In January-October 2019 Georgian airports served:

  • Tbilisi International Airport - 3,255,965 passengers (1 per cent decrease)
  • Kutaisi International Airport - 719,324 passengers (40 per cent increase)
  • Batumi International Airport - 571,629 passengers (3 per cent increase)
  • Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia, Svaneti region - 7,086 passengers (15 per cent increase)
  • Ambrolauri Airport in Georgia’s Racha region – 1,669 passengers (17 per cent increase)

In January – October 2019, Georgia’s rural airports (Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia and Ambrolauri Airport) has served 8,755 passengers in total which is a 16 per cent increase compared to the same period of last year.
