Georgia's Wheelchair Fencing World Cup gold-winning athlete Irma Khetsuriani earned a bronze at the World Cup event closing in Warsaw tomorrow.
The para-athlete, who this year won her 16th gold medal at international competitions, emerged with the third-placed finish in women's B category with sabre.
Khetsuriani reached the semifinal stage in the Polish capital on Saturday before losing to China's Shumei Tan and ending up on the third step of the podium.
She won all her group stage fixtures to reach the knockout round, where the Georgian edged past Russia's Irina Mishurova in the Last 16 round.
That was followed by Khetsuriani's win against Rossanna Pasquino of Italy in the quarterfinal, which set her up for the fixture against Tan in the semis.
The Warsaw World Cup will be followed by the World Championships in Cheongju, China and was a qualifying tournament for the 2020 Paralympic Games.
The Polish competition is running in the capital city between July 11-16.
