European Council President Donald Tusk has arrived in Georgia to participate in the international conference in the Black Sea town of Batumi, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative.
Donald Tusk will address participants tomorrow, which include an “unprecedented number” of foreign guests from the European Union member and partner states.
Foreign Ministers of Czech Republic, Sweden, Poland and Armenia have also come to Batumi to attend the conference.
Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek, who met with Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani earlier today, spoke with President Salome Zurabishvili and Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze as well.

During his visit Minister Petricek also travelled to Khurvaleti village and spoke with locals who have their farms divided by barbed wire fences erected by Russian occupatino forces near the Tskhinvali region (South Ossetia).

The 16th Batumi International Conference, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative, will be held in Batumi on July 11-12.
Top Georgian state officials, European Council President Donald Tusk, Estonian PM Juri Ratas and eight foreign ministers from the EU and partner countries are scheduled to participate in the two-day event.
