The Georgian Interior Ministry has called on demonstrators gathered in front of the parliament on the third consecutive day not to exceed the legal framework of the freedom of expression and to maintain public order.
The ministry also reported that 121 people out f the 305 detained on June 20, were sentenced to administrative detention, while the rest were released with an administrative fine or verbal warning.
Moreover, the general inspection of the interior ministry has launched an investigation into the possible abuse of power of law enforcers during the clash on Rustaveli Avenue in central Tbilisi.
The peaceful demonstration in front of the parliament of Georgia that followed a Russian State Duma MP speaking from the Georgian parliament speaker's chair on June 20, has resumed at 7 p.m. today.
