Central Election Commission releases final results of presidential elections

The Georgian Central Election Commission has released the final results of the presidential elections.

The commission has stated that 100 per cent of votes have been counted.

• The Georgian Dream ruling party endorsed presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili received 59.52 per cent of votes.
• The opposition candidate Grigol Vashadze received 40.48 per cent of votes.

Zurabishvili received 1,147,627 votes, while Vashadze-780,633.

The Central Election Commission of Georgia has reported a 56.23 percent voter turnout for the runoff of presidential election, which was conducted yesterday.

Zurabishvil’s inauguration ceremony will be held on 16 December.
