Exchange them at the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) as 50 tetri cons have already lost their status as legal tender.
The 50 tetri coins, which had been in circulation since 1995, became demonetised starting from January 1, 2018.
The NBG allows those who still hold the 50 tetri coins to exchange them for the new ones, which currently are in circulation. People will be able to exchange these coins starting from January 1, 2019.

A rule rounding out change given in stores came into play in Georgia starting January 1, 2019. Based on the new rule, 1 and 2 tetri coins will be rounded to 0, while 3,4,6 and 7 tetris will be rounded to 5.The new rule applies to payment by cash only.
