Georgian Independence Day in tweets, countries from around the world send good wishes to Georgia

Foreign countries and leaders are sending their kinds wishes to Georgia on the 100th anniversary since the creation of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia.

In his statement, US State Secretary Mike Pompeo wrote that his country "is proud of Georgia’s amazing democratic and economic progress.”

Georgia has achieved amazing progress over the past 27 years,” Pompeo said.

Pompeo praised Georgia’s role in international peace and security.

The Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, who is in Tbilisi now, has recorded a special video for the festive day.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister also tweeted in English and Georgia to mark the day.

The Latvian Foreign Ministry and the president have tweeted for Georgia’s Independence Day.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic congratulated Georgia on the centennial Independence Day.

Arad Benko, the Ambassador of Austria to Georgia, tweeted on behalf of the Austrian president.

Director General of the State Protocol of Estonia has sent his kind wishes to Georgia on Independence Day.

The German Defense Department Center for International Security Studies congratulated Georgia on the festive day.

The Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry also dedicated a tweet to Georgia’s Independence Day.
