The President of the United States Donald Trump has sent a letter of congratulations to the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili congratulating the people of Georgia on Independence day and the centennial of Georgia’s first republic.

"Georgia is a remarkable country with an ancient and beautiful history and many contributions to Western culture, including music, architecture and cuisine. Your soldiers have shown courage and sacrifice  fighting alongside us in Afghanistan and Iraq. The United States continues unwaveringly to support Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic future, territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Trump wrote in his letter to PM Kvirikashvili.

As the partnership between Georgia and US continues to deepen, Donald Trump looks forward to exploring ways to ensure the two countries’ "peoples’ prosperity and security.”
