A group of wine professionals from the Netherlands, including wine importers, wine writers and sommeliers will visit Georgia in September to learn more about country’s rich wine history and culture.
The decision was made after Amsterdam hosted a Georgian wine testing last week.
In total 12 Georgian wine companies participated in the wine tasting event in Amsterdam.
A wine and food pairing event was also held at the same time, where the sommeliers revealed that wine from Telavi Wine Cellar goes well with wild goose dish.
The Georgian National Wine Agency, which supported the wine events in Amsterdam, announced that the Netherland’s market was promising for Georgian wine exports.
In 2017 the Wine Agency signed an agreement with wine importer company Saperavi Wine Agency, which supports Georgian wine exports to the Netherlands and different activities that promote Georgian wine to the country.
