Georgian, Dutch PM discuss deepening economic ties

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte at the Munich Security Conference today.

The parties discussed the further intensification of bilateral relations in different fields, with a special emphasis on deepening economic ties.

Special attention was paid to Georgia’s investment and tourism potential, and the growing interest of Dutch investors and tourists in Georgia.

The two prime ministers discussed Georgia’s progress on the path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

In particular, Kvirikashvili and Rutte discussed the successful implementation of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement, as well as visa free-travel for Georgian citizens to the Schengen Area.

Discussing regional security and the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories at today’s meeting, PM Rutte confirmed his strong support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The 54th Munich Security Conference officially kicked off yesterday.

The Georgian delegation headed by PM Kvirikashvili has held a number of meetings with different world leaders.
