Wrestling: Georgia wins bronze at Freestyle World Cup

The National Georgian freestyle wrestling team has displayed great skill in the Freestyle World Cup 2016 and won bronze for their efforts.
The competition took place in Los Angeles, the United States (US) on June 11 and 12.
By finishing third the Georgian team – consisting of eight male wrestlers – won 20,000 USD in prize money.

Georgia defeated the US in the match for the bronze medal.
Before that Georgia defeated Turkey and Mongolia but lost to Russia in Pool A.
Iran won the Freestyle World Cup for the fifth time in a row. Russia placed second, followed by Georgia, the US, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, India and Turkey.
