A leading contemporary art gallery in Germany's capital Berlin is hosting a two-month personal exhibition of Georgian artist Thea Djordjadze.

The exhibition was described as focusing on the art and essence of interior spaces.

The Sprueth Magers venue in Berlin hosted a formal reception marking the opening of the exhibition, named Listening the Pressure That Surrounds You, on April 29.

The exhibition was then opened to public on Saturday and will host visitors until June 25.

Aimed at highlighting the effect of the interior on human experience, the display features Berlin-based Djordjadze's usage of varying material and objects to create an impression on its viewers.

Organisers of the exhibition noted the Georgian artist's ability to capture the subject in their preview of the event:

Few contemporary artists have so cannily, idiosyncratically explored the existential experience of the interior as Thea Djordjadze," said a press release for the exhibition by Sprueth Magers.

Established in 1983, the Sprueth Magers venue since expanded "to become an international gallery dedicated to exhibiting the very best in ground-breaking modern and contemporary art."

Thea Djordjadze has featured in personal and group exhibitions at prestigious venues including the Aspen Art Museum in the United States, Malmö Konsthall in Sweden and the Kunsthalle Basel in Switzerland.

She recently held her first personal display Projects 103: Thea Djordjadze at the Museum of Modern Art PS1 gallery in New York, the US.

Another of her upcoming personal displays will be held from September 8-November 1, 2016 at the Secession Wien gallery in Austria's capital Vienna.
