A Georgian contemporary artist is holding her first solo exhibition at a top art gallery in New York, United States (US).
For five months starting April 3, Berlin-based artist Thea Djordjadze will present her contemporary display that showcases her vision on sculptural architecture to local art critics and enthusiasts.
The exhibition Projects 103: Thea Djordjadze will be hosted at the Museum of Modern Art gallery PS1, which is one of the oldest US-based contemporary art institutions.

Djordjadze’s exhibition will be the first in the Elaine Dannheisser Projects Series, named after one of famous New York art collectors.
The New York gallery announced the Georgian artist's exhibition on Wednesday on social media:
Organisers said Djordjadze's work would illustrate the "language of architecture and functional design" and her exhibition will be open to contemporary art lovers for five months, starting April 3.
Djordjadze creates sculptural environments that foreground the lasting legacy of Modernism while evoking the vernacular and folk traditions native to the Caucasus region in the Republic of Georgia," said the gallery in its preview of Djordjadze’s exhibition.
Founded in 1971 by Alanna Heiss as the Institute for Art and Urban Resources, the Museum of Modern Art PS1 followed the tradition of "transforming the building's spaces into site-specific art".
Last year for two months starting in October Djordjadze held personal exhibition at the South London Gallery and her work also featured at the 56th Venice Biennale, which ran from May to November 2015.
Her works have been praised by art critics for their usage of "mundane materials" while achieving a "stunning" display effect.
Over the past four years Djordjadze has featured in exhibitions at the List Visual Arts Centre of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Aspen Art Museum in Colorado and the Malmo Konsthall in Sweden.
The exhibition Projects 103: Thea Djordjadze will begin on April 3 and end on August 29.
