Denmark ratifies EU-Georgia Association treaty

Denmark has ratified the Georgia-European Union (EU) Association Agreement (AA).
Similarly, the European Parliament approved the EU-Georgia deal today in Strasbourg.
The vast majority of members of Danish Parliament (Folketinget) voted to ratify the AA deals with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, stated the press centre of Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard welcomed the ratification on his twitter account, where he said he was "very happy that DK has just ratified” EU AAs with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.

"Important step towards closer cooperation,” Lidegaard tweeted.
So far 12 EU member states have ratified AA deals between Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine with the EU. These countries are Denmark, Sweden, Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Estonia, Slovakia, Malta, Latvia, Lithuania and Bulgaria.
EU association deals need to be ratified by all 28 EU member countries before they can be fully implemented.
The AA deals were signed by Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova and EU representatives in Brussels on June 27.
Sweden has ratified the Georgia-European Union (EU) Association Agreement (AA).
The vast majority of members of the Hungarian Parliament voted to ratify the AA deals with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, stated the press centre of Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Slovakia is the fifth European country to ratify the Georgia-European Union (EU) Association Agreement (AA).
Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjarto has expressed his support to Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration and promised Hungary will ratify the EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AA) by the end of this year.
Bulgaria is the latest country to ratify the Georgia-European Union (EU) Association Agreement (AA).
Today Parliament ratified the AA with 123 votes in favour and 0 against.
Parliament of Latvia has unanimously ratified European Union (EU) Association Agreements (AA) with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.
Ireland is the latest country to ratify the Georgia-European Union (EU) Association Agreement (AA), that was signed in June last year.
Poland is the latest country to ratify the Association Agreement (AA) between Georgia and the European Union (EU).
The official ratification process took place today in the Polish Sejm - the lower house of the country's Parliament.
The upper house of the Parliament of Poland (the Senate) has ratified the Association Agreement (AA) made between Georgia and the European Union (EU).
The German Bundestag (parliament) has ratified the Association Agreement (AA) between Georgia and the European Union (EU).
The Parliament of Finland has ratified the Association Agreement (AA) between Georgia and the European Union (EU).
Today, the UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond signed the document, meaning Britain has completed the ratification process of the important EU-Georgia deal.
