The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced today that from mid-May they have seized 4 kg heroin, 2,000 pills of subutex and suboxone, 100 gr cocaine, 200 gr MDMA, 150 gr new psychoactive substances and 150 gr psychographic substances.
Fighting against drug crimes and drug dealing is one of the key priorities for the Interior Ministry of Georgia,” the ministry said.
Our goal is to maximally decrease the negative effect caused by drug consumption,” the ministry added.
The Interior Ministry says that between May and June 8 individuals have been charged for drug dealing, four of which are citizens of Iran.
All four Iranians have been charged with the possession and sale of heroin and other drugs in large quantities, envisaging 8-20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
The other detainees are the citizens of Georgia.
