Law enforcement operatives have arrested an individual in Georgia's capital Tbilisi with a charge of transporting and storing illicit substances at 1,709 locations in the city before selling them.
Georgia's interior ministry announced on Friday a Russian citizen had been arrested during their attempt at concealing substances in a park adjacent to Tbilisi Sea territory.
Born in 1988, the individual was apprehended with 18 packages of the drug hashish, discovered during personal search. Police officers involved in the arrest also found 119 more packages of the drug in the park and 61 at the apartment of the person.
The ministry also said a police investigation had revealed the arrested individual had intermittently visited Georgia over the last three years to conceal drug substances at various locations in Tbilisi.
Photographing the locations, they then supplied information on the spots to customers, ministry announcement said.
The release of the law enforcement body noted the evidence for the criminal acts had been recovered from electronic devices used by the arrested.
