Georgian police detains man wanted by Interpol

The detainee was charged in Germany.

Georgia’s law enforcers have detained a man who has been wanted by Interpol since 2006.

The individual who was identified as E.N., 64, was charged in Germany for purchase, keeping and selling of drugs.

E.N was detained in Georgia’s western seaside town of Batumi today and now he is facing pre-extradition procedures.

The International Police Organization or Interpol is an intergovernmental organization facilitating international police cooperation.

Interpol has an annual budget of around €78 million, most of which is provided through annual contributions by its membership of 190 countries.
