Six people detained for illegal crossing at state border of Georgia

The detainee, a Turkish citizen born in 1963 and only named as E.E, was issued an international arrest warrant for his crimes committed in Belgium.

Six citizens of Bangladesh have been detained in Georgia for attempting to cross the state border of the country illegally.

Officers of the Land Border Protection Department of the Border Police of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained six Bangladeshi citizens on the territory of N5 Border Sector (Niala) of the MIA Border Police N2 Office (Akhaltsikhe).

The investigation established that the suspects were trying to cross the State Border of Georgia illegally in groups without official border control from the Republic of Turkey.

The Border Police Operative-Investigation Main office is carrying out an investigation on the above-mentioned fact according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, 344, Part II, Subparagraph A.
