Georgian PM congratulates newly appointed Japanese counterpart

In his social media message, Kobakhidze stressed his country “highly valued” the “excellent partnership” with Japan, and expressed gratitude for the “support that Japan offers to us in various sectors”.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday congratulated Shigeru Ishiba, his Japanese counterpart, with his appointment to the position. 

In his social media message, Kobakhidze stressed his country “highly valued” the “excellent partnership” with Japan, and expressed gratitude for the “support that Japan offers to us in various sectors”.

Ishiba has been designated the 102nd prime minister of Japan, the country’s PM’s Office said on X today.
