The fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Japan in various fields and the prospects of further expanding the partnership were reviewed on Saturday by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Shun'ichi Suzuki, the Japanese Finance Minister.
At the meeting, held within the framework of the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Tbilisi, Kobakhidze and Suzuki discussed the ways to further deepen economic relations, including attraction of investments, export promotion, and small and medium business development.
The conversation touched on the possibility of holding a joint business forum between Georgia and Japan, aiming to strengthen ties between the businesses of the two states, the Government Administration said.
The parties also emphasised the “high level” political dialogue between the countries, with Suzuki affirming Japan’s “strong support” for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
The Japanese official thanked the Georgian PM for hosting the ADB annual meeting in the country.
