Grigol Liluashvili, the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, on Thursday met with Gareth Edward Ward, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the country, to discuss “strong partnership” in security between the two countries and prospects of deepening cooperation in this regard, the Service said.

The body noted the officials also discussed ongoing processes in the world and security challenges, with Liluashvili congratulating the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in the country.

On his part, Ward expressed his gratitude to the Georgian official for existing cooperation in security between the two countries.
