Georgia's Black Sea port city of Poti launched the summer season with an updated beachfront on Tuesday, the City Hall said.
Beach-goers will be welcomed to games of soccer, with sporting and entertainment activities planned for visitors.
Maltakva coastline area in the city hosted a gala concert featuring music artists to mark the occasion, with a fireworks show closing the celebration.
Mayor Beka Vacharadze said the renovation efforts on the coastline had included setting up of a new lighting system, showers, renovation of bathrooms and new access paths to the beach.
