Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili became the World Champion for the third time consecutively in the -81 kg weight category at the World Championships in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Grigalashvili defeated his Russian rival Timur Arbuzov, who competed at the tournament with a neutral flag, with a waza-ari in the final round and earned the gold medal.

The 24-year-old Georgian is a three-time World and European Champion.

The national team of Georgia has already earned two gold medals and one bronze at the Championships in Abu Dhabi.
