Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili claimed his third World Judo Champion’s title after winning the -81 kg category final at the European Judo Championships Seniors in Zagreb on Friday.
Grigalashvili defeated his Dutch opponent Frank de Wit in the final to earn the title.
Lasha Shavdatuashvili, the Olympic, World and European Champion, claimed the bronze medal earlier on Friday defeating his Moldovan rival Adil Osmanov in extra time.
Four other athletes from Georgia, Giorgi Chikhelidze, Eter Askilashvili, Mariam Chanturia and Nino Gulbani, were eliminated from the tournament at an early stage.
