Georgian judoka Lasha Shavdatuashvili on Saturday claimed a gold medal at the Judo Grand Slam Tbilisi 2024, hosted in Georgia’s capital.
Shavdatuashvili, who is an Olympic, World and European champion, defeated Karen Galstian, participating in the tournament as an individual neutral athlete, in 32 seconds in the -73 kg category final of the tournament.
Yesterday another Georgian judoka Eteri Liparteliani also won a gold medal by defeating her Canadian counterpart Jessica Klimkait, celebrating the victory in the tournament for the first time in her career.
