The Georgian national team claimed 11 medals at the 19th European Wushu Championships, held in Stockholm, Sweden, the country’s Sports Ministry said.
Athletes of the team earned two gold, two silver and seven bronze medals in Taolu, a discipline with choreographed routines in wushu, and full-contact combat Sanda at the event.
Saba Butkhuzi and Davit Nazarov won gold medals, Alexander Kuchava earned a silver, while Nicholas Maskhulia and Nika Baghishvili claimed bronze for the Sanda team.
Mariam Arziani won silver and bronze medals, Mate Kortkhonjia and Gvantsa Karchava received silver, with Nikoloz Nutsubidze earning two bronze medals in Taolu discipline.
Held last week, the competition featured 500 athletes from 33 countries.
