Georgian martial arts fighter Mariam Torchinava became the first Georgian female to advance to an American mixed martial arts league - the Professional Fighters League.

The 21-year-old athlete will hold her first match on June 8 against English rival Shanelle Dyer in the Women’s Flyweight division.

Torchinava has nine wins, two losses and zero draws in MMA fighting, and holds a record for six wins, zero losses and draws in the Georgian Fighting Championship.
