The current agenda of Georgia-EU cooperation was discussed on Thursday by Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Gert Jan Koopman, the Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission.
In a phone conversation, the sides “positively assessed” the current ties and reviewed future steps of cooperation, while also noting the efforts made by Georgia in EU enlargement policy, the Foreign Ministry said.

The plans to implement nine priorities set out by the Commission for opening EU accession negotiations with Georgia to join the bloc were also pointed out by Darchiashvii and Koopman.
