Irakli Kobakhidze, the head of the ruling Georgian Dream party and Gert Jan Koopman, the Head of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission, on Wednesday reviewed Georgia’s European integration path.
In his social media post, Koopman said the meeting also discussed fulfilment of the priorities set out by the European Commission last month for granting the country the EU membership candidate status this week.

Koopman noted the European Commission was “assisting Georgia to develop a robust action plan and support its implementation” as part of integration efforts.
