Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Wednesday discussed recent reforms for combating corruption during a meeting with Richard Nephew, the Coordinator of the United States Department of State on Global Anti-Corruption.
The Ministry of Finance said Khutsishvili expressed his gratitude to the visiting official for the cooperation and support demonstrated by the US towards Georgia.
The body added the government officials also discussed avenues of future cooperation.
The Tbilisi meeting also included Lasha Darsalia, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterine Guntsadze, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Zviad Barkaia, the Deputy Head of Government Administration, Kris Fresonke, the Regional Team Lead of the Department of State’s Global Anti-Corruption office, Sarah Rupert, the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Director at the US Embassy in Tbilisi and Alan Purcell, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Tbilisi.
