Georgian PM, BCG Global Chair discuss “double-digit” economic growth in country

The current economic processes in Georgia were discussed on Saturday between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Rich Lesser, the Global Chair of the Boston Consulting Group, the “world’s most influential” business strategy consulting firm, in a meeting held within the frame of the ongoing Munich Security Conference.
The officials also reviewed Georgia’s “double-digit” economic growth for a second consecutive year, highlighting the country as a “reliable and stable” business partner, as Georgia continued to make progress and its economy was “growing steadily”, the Government Administration said.
The 500 largest corporations are among the BCG’s clients, with the firm having more than 50 offices and employing 25,000 people worldwide. The company’s areas of expertise are branding, corporate development, globalisation and pricing, as well as strategy, technology and communications.
The long-term strategic partnership and the prospects of future cooperation between Georgia and the United States were discussed on Saturday by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and General Christopher Cavoli, the Commander of US European Command, in a meeting held within the ongoing Munich Security Conference.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Odile Renaud-Basso, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, on Saturday reviewed the current and future projects, financed by the Bank, including the ones in the fields of transport and municipal infrastructure, as well as education, energy, banking sector, and agriculture.
Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday highlighted Georgia’s progress on its European integration path and the latest “positive report” by the European Commission on the country’s alignment with EU laws at the meeting with Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the Government Administration said.
The “successful” partnership and “favourable” business environment in Georgia were discussed on Friday between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Bruno Even, the Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters, a French helicopter manufacturing company, in a meeting on the sidelines of the ongoing 59th Munich Security Conference, the Government Administration said.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Werner Hoyer, the President of the European Investment Bank on Saturday discussed the current projects of the Bank in Georgia and the prospects of deepening future cooperation.
