The “successful” partnership and “favourable” business environment in Georgia were discussed on Friday between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Bruno Even, the Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters, a French helicopter manufacturing company, in a meeting on the sidelines of the ongoing 59th Munich Security Conference, the Government Administration said.

Garibashvili highlighted the agreement signed last year between the Georgian Interior Ministry and the French company for acquiring three new multipurpose H145 helicopters for police, transport, search and rescue purposes, fully equipped with fire fighting and mountain rescue hardware.

The investment opportunities and “beneficial” business environment in Georgia were also emphasised by the PM at the meeting, noting Georgia was a “reliable and stable” business partner. Despite the economic losses during the pandemic period, the country exceeded expectations and double-digit economic growth has been recorded, Garibashvili added.

The Munich Security Conference is bringing together about 40 government officials and hundreds of policymakers and security experts from 100 countries.
