Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska on Thursday praised the “high-level-dialogue” between the countries “in a number of directions” in a Tbilisi meeting.
The Georgian Government Administration said the officials had also highlighted the “fruitful cooperation” between the interior ministries of the two states.
Garibashvili and Grande-Marlaska said the ties were based on “international agreements, partnership and principles of mutual trust”.
Expressing his gratitude to the Spanish Government for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations, the PM emphasised his country’s progress on the European integration path.
In this context, he stressed the importance of the European Commission's “positive report” earlier this month on the country’s alignment with the European Union’s legal framework.
