Georgian police officers arrested an individual who was wanted for murder, robbery and illegal purchase and possession of firearms since 2008, the Georgian Interior Ministry announced on Thursday.
In its statement, the body said the offender resided in the western Ozurgeti municipality under an adopted surname and without a single identity document.
The offender had been convicted in absentia by Tskaltubo City Court in western Georgia and was wanted for “premeditated murder committed under aggravated circumstances, armed robbery and illegal purchase and possession of firearms”.
The arrested person has been transferred to a penitentiary institution, the body also said.
