Giorgi Ramishvili, the Founder and former President of the Georgian Ski Federation, on Saturday said hosting the fourth Moguls World Cup competition of the 2023-2024 season of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation in Georgia’s ski resort of Bakuriani was “a great achievement” for the country.

In his comments to the media, Ramishvili noted Georgia had fulfilled all of its obligations to host the World Cup, adding that holding such “world-class” competitions in the country “has already become a reality”.

The “significant work” carried out by Georgia was also highlighted by Andrea Rinaldi, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation Freestyle Moguls and Aerials Race Director, on Thursday.

Georgia’s Bakuriani is hosting the 2023-2024 Moguls World Cup at the Kokhta Mount track between Friday and Saturday, with 90 athletes from 16 countries participating in the competition, the Ministry of Economy said.

During the 2024 winter season, the stages of the World Cup will be hosted in the Georgian resort of Gudauri for a snowboard cross between February 3-4, before the ski cross event is run in Bakuriani between February 10-11.
