Paata Kalandadze, Georgia’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, on Thursday said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has been scheduled to get involved in “all scheduled format meetings” of the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai.
Saying the event was “unparalleled in scale”, with over 70,000 foreign delegates, the diplomat stressed it would feature the highest representatives from 160 states for discussions on key climate issues, with the PM also addressing the “large audience”.
He further noted the PM would participate in celebrations commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates.
COP28 will run through December 12 and will also feature leaders of business and finance, and representatives of the civil sector.
