Georgian and Hungarian authorities on Thursday signed 10 agreements on cooperation between state agencies of the two countries, from technical cooperation to ties in finance, defence, justice and more.
Coming during the visit of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Georgia, the signings were hosted as part of an intergovernmental summit between the two states, the Georgian Government Administration said.
The signed documents included a joint declaration between the governments, a deal on technical cooperation, memoranda between the ministries of economy and finance and a joint declaration on defence cooperation.
The documents also included a plan on cooperation between the ministries of justice between 2024-2025, a protocol of cooperation in education, science and family policies, a memorandum for the 2024-2026 Stipendium Hungaricum programme, memoranda on green energy, socially inclusive infrastructure and urban development, and an agreement on cooperation in water supply and waste management.
Orbán and his delegation are on an official visit to Georgia, with the Government head meeting his Georgian counterpart Irakli Garibashvili as part of the trip.
