Along with discussing cooperation, Darchiashvili briefed his Finnish counterpart Elina Valtonen about the Georgian Government's work to implement the conditions outlined by the EU last year for granting the country its membership candidate status.
The parties expressed hopes the bloc would give “due assessments” to Georgia’s “progress” on its EU path and grant the status later this year.
